Eligibility:
To be eligible to apply for a Prevail Credit Union Scholarship,
the following criteria must be met:
- Current Prevail Credit Union member *
- A graduating high school senior (in 2008) or current college
student.
- Applicant must have a GPA of 3.25 or greater.
- Applicant must provide verification of acceptance or enrollment
to a college or university.
- Applicant was not a recipient of a 2007 Prevail Credit
Union Scholarship award; Prevail Credit Union will not award
a scholarship in consecutive years to the same applicant.
Prevail Credit Union staff, the Board of Directors and Supervisory
Committee members, and their families are not eligible to apply.
After selection of scholarship recipients, the judge's
decision is final. Scholarships awarded based on the information
obtained solely from this application and those specific materials
requested. Prevail Credit Union Scholarships are not based on
the applicant's financial situation.

Official copy of transcripts provided for review
- Two (2) letters of reference/recommendation:
- One (1) from a high school or college instructor;
- The other letter (1) from someone not related to the applicant
(may be personal or professional)
- Typed essay (300 words or less) describing both, the applicant's:
- Educational goals
- Personal goals & expectations.
Application Procedure & Deadline:
Applications, transcripts, etc. must be postmarked
no later
than Friday, March 28, 2008. Applications received late,
incomplete or not in accordance with the guidelines will be
ineligible. All applications pre-screened by College Placement
Services, Seattle. Scholarship recipients will be notified by
or before, June 20, 2008.

Disbursement of Scholarship Funds:
Funds will be deposited directly into the student/member's
Prevail Credit Union savings account no later than July 15,
2008.
